Denise & Matt
Dear Birth Mother:
Hi! We are Matt and Denise. It is our pleasure to introduce ourselves to you. We are so excited about becoming parents. Thank you for taking time to learn a little more about us. We understand this may be one of the hardest decisions you will ever have to make in your life. Please know you are blessed for choosing to give your child life. As you read our story, you will see that both Matt and I come from somewhat larger than average families. Each and every one of our nieces and nephews make us proud. They are anxious for the arrival of their new cousin. We would be thrilled to make their dreams come true. We have tried to have a biological child for quite some time. We feel that God has led us here because He already has a chosen child for us. We know in our hearts that we are ready to be parents. Sometime life doesn't go exactly as you had planned, but we would not change a single thing. We have been brought here for a reason and we are ready to welcome parenthood with open arms. We pray that after reading over our profile, you will choose us to raise your child. Thank you, once again, for allowing us to introduce ourselves. God bless you.
Our beginning...
Matt and I were first introduced to each other in high school. We had a chance to get to know each other in the Algebra class we had together. We spent many weekends socializing by going to dances. We started dating seriously a short time after graduating from high school. After two years of dating, we became engaged. We were married a year and a half later and have been very happy for the past thirteen years. Our love for one another has continued to grow stronger with each new day.
A little about Denise...
Denise is a very kind, patient and loving wife. I could not ask for a better friend or companion in life. Denise loves family and friends and enjoys spending time with them. She also enjoys working in the yard, taking walks, and relaxing on the back porch. Our nieces and nephews enjoy coming over because Denise comes up with fun activities for them. Making water balloons, flying kites and playing rock band and twister are some of the things we all have a blast doing. She prides herself on keeping the house clean and organized. At present she works for a county office. Denise will be a great mom because she is a caring, kind-hearted individual who has always loved being around kids. When she was in high school her after school job was at a day care center. She was able to spend time with kids of all different ages. Even at a young age she would carry around one of her cousins every chance she had. She enjoys taking our nieces and nephews on outings and makes it a point to go to any activity they are involved in such as plays, sporting events and pageants.
About Matt...
![]()
I can say without a doubt that Matt is my best friend. He is always there for me through the tough times and there to make me smile when it's time to celebrate. Matt enjoys watching football, talking politics with his dad and visiting with his family. He is always looking for challenging projects. One of his greatest accomplishments was building a roll top desk for our living room. It looks absolutely beautiful. The outdoors is where he loves to spend most of his time especially on the long summer evenings. Matt is very much the handy man- he is our electrician, plumber and mechanic. Matt works as an operator at a plant that is located ten minutes from our house. This makes his trip to and from work short and quick. Aside from the plant, Matt also does Air Conditioning work for our close friends and family members. Matt is a very loving husband and a great provider for his family. Matt will be a great Dad because he loves children. Matt loves spending time joking around with all our nieces and nephews, and they just adore him. You can find him out in the yard playing chase with them or sitting on the couch asking silly question after silly question just to see them smile. He is very patient with them and enjoys teaching them new things. He will go out of his way to set up the slip and slide or hammock if they wish to play on it.
What family means to us.....
Family is the foundation upon which love grows. We were both brought up in very loving environments with parents that have celebrated many anniversaries together. In addition to our parents, we had our grandparents there to guide us along the way. Our families always made sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to passing on the traditions they shared with us to our child. Gathering for family celebrations, hunting Easter eggs and looking forward to visits from Santa are some of the things we treasure. We will make sure our child experiences this same joy. Our child will always know how special he or she is. We will also teach our child how important it is to show others love and respect. We thank God for giving us the chance to see the beauty in each and every day, and we look forward to sharing it with our child.
Extended Family…
Denise's parents still live in the same house she grew up in. It only takes us fifteen minutes to get to their house. They can't wait to meet their new grandchild. Their youngest grandchild, Faith, is the most recent addition to the family through adoption. We have all experienced the great joy she has brought into our lives. Denise's sister and brothers all live nearby. We have three nieces and two nephews on her side of the family. Their ages range from ten months to nine years. Our home is located on the same acreage as Matt's parents; therefore, we see them on a regular basis. Matt comes from a family of seven children; he is third from the youngest. Three of Matt's sisters and one of his brothers are married and have children. He has two younger siblings who are single. We have ten nieces and nephews on his side of the family. They range in age from four years to twenty-three years of age. Matt's brothers, sisters and their families all live within a fifteen mile radius of us. Family gatherings are always great; everyone comes together and has lots of fun. We cherish every minute we get to spend with them.
Family Vacations....
Fun trips always make for great memories. We enjoy adventures to new places and love admiring the beauty each has to offer. We've traveled to several different states and have also enjoyed numerous vacations close to home. One of our most memorable family trips was this past summer. We visited the same lake Matt's family went to every year when he was a child. The entire family had a blast fishing, swimming, and boat riding.
GOD bless our home…
By starting our lives together in a cozy mobile home, we were able to build the home of our dreams in 2003. We have a four bedroom home which is nestled in the center of tall oak trees. Our large, fenced yard has plenty of room for little feet to run and explore new things. We are ready to start decorating the baby's room; we've already picked out furniture. We can't wait to watch our little one grow and make memories here. Our living room and kitchen are open to each other which allows us to spend quality time together. During the winter one of our favorite meals is bacon, eggs and pancakes on a cold, relaxing evening.
We spend a lot of time outside working in the yard. Feeding the cattle is a hobby we enjoy, along with riding through the pasture. While out driving, we admire all of nature's beauty. We watch the deer, turkeys, rabbits and whatever else we might see crossing our path. Back at home our cats, Bevo and Bob, are always looking for attention.
Closing Thoughts…
Our hearts are full of love and anticipation for the child that will call us mommy and daddy. We promise that your child will always have unconditional love, guidance, happiness, and support. You have chosen adoption because you love your child. Only you know who is right to raise your child, and we pray you will bless us with the chance to be the parents we know we can be. Your courage is extraordinary, and we will always make sure your child/our child knows how amazing you are.
